Privacy policy

Little Bird ("Little Bird") is a website and app that compares grocery prices across stores in Egypt. This page explains what data we need, why, and who sees it.

What we store

• Your account: your name and email. We never see your password; it is stored hashed by our account provider (Supabase). If you sign in with Google, we receive only your name and email from Google.
• What you do in the app: your basket, the products you watch for a lower price, your budget, your area (to work out delivery), your product ratings, and any feedback you send.
• On your device only: your language, your chosen look and your sign-in session, kept in the browser's storage.
• Where you came from: if you arrive from a post or flyer link, we keep only the source's name (like "facebook" or "flyer"), plus your answer to "How did you hear about us?" if you give one. It is saved with your account only when you create a new one, so we know how people find us. No cookies, and nothing is kept if you don't sign up.

What we don't do

• No ads, no tracking or analytics tools.
• We don't sell your data or share it for advertising.
• We don't sell products. When you order, we send you to the store's own website, and the store's policies apply there.

«Add this page» and pictures you send

If you add a product page from a store's site inside the app, we keep the page link, the product name and price, and your account (to limit adds per day). If you send a picture (a screenshot, receipt or flyer), it is stored privately so we can review it and read the prices. We remove the photo's location (GPS) and other metadata before it reaches us. Accepted prices are shown as «seen by a user», never with your name. All of this is deleted when you delete your account.

The contact form

If you send us a message from the form, we keep: the topic, your name, the email or phone you typed, the company or store (if given), your message, and when it was sent. We use it only to reply to you. Only the owner of Little Bird can read it, from the control panel. Answered messages are deleted after 12 months at most; ask us by email below to delete yours sooner. Our provider (Supabase) may keep your IP address in its logs for a short time for security.

Services we use

• Supabase: accounts and database (servers in Europe).
• Brevo: sends sign-in code and password emails.
• Google: if you choose to sign in with Google.
• Cloudflare: website hosting and the bot check on sign-in.
• MET Norway: Cairo's weather, fetched by our server; nothing about you is sent to them.

Your rights

You can see and edit your data under "My account". To delete your account and all its data, email us from the address you signed up with, and we delete it within 30 days.

Prices

Prices are collected from the stores' public websites and contain no data about you.

Children

The service is not aimed at children under 13.
